Our firm comprises auditors who are individually approved External Examiners registered with the Law Society of New South Wales. We provide independent trust account audits to ensure NSW law practices comply with the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW) and associated regulations.
Appointment of an External Examiner
If your law practice has received or held trust money (excluding transit money) during the trust year, you are required to appoint an External Examiner (EE). The appointment must be made through the Law Society's Trust Lodgement Portal (TLP)
The forms found here will assist law practices to comply with the Rules.
Trust Examination Period
The trust accounting year in NSW runs from 1 April to 31 March.
Lodgement of the Examiner's Report
Following the examination, we are required to lodge the External Examiner's Report via the Trust Lodgement Portal. This must be completed by 31 May each year.
